EE&ME started out as a radio service company and has evolved through the years into a market leading transformer rectifier manufacturing company providing reliable and quality built transformer rectifiers currently used throughout Asian Pacific and the world. 

Our transformers, rectifiers, chargers and junction boxes have be approved and used in the marine industry, oil exploration and various other industrial sectors. Applications include explosion proof requirements, oil rig platforms, onboard ships, MRT, airport runway, jetties, elevators, production lines as well as other major industrial machinery and plant.

EE&ME Transformers and Rectifiers been approved by marine bodies such as Lloyds, Germanisher Lloyd, Bureau Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping, Det Norse Veritas, Class NK as well as SPRINGS, formally known as PSB, to standards of BS, IEC, JEC, NEMA etc.

Through the years, EE&ME has adopted a continual improvement system and has obtained international quality management systems ISO9001 & ISO9002. Most recently, we have achieved BizSAFE certification improving workplace safety and health capabilities.

Operating from a new premises, we are adapting to new markets and challenges with innovations to our current offerings. We endeavour to service our clients to produce the most effective and quality solutions to meet their requirements.

    • 1937 MOK JIN SENG started Eastern Radio & Sound Service with younger brother MOK QUEE KIM
    • 1947 Official registration of company after World War II
    • 1950 Official change to present name
    • 1952 Old inductance meter
    • 1955 Open type transformer made around this period of time
    • 1957 Approved contractor for Public Works Department
    • 1958 Old universal "AVO" bridge set used then
    • 1960 Maintenance of generators for the film and cinemas under Shaw/Cathay organization
    • 1963 Cambridge meter used then
    • 1964 Name plate of the company
    • 1965 Early years staffs at 39, Selegie Road
    • 1973 Transformer made in the early 70’s
    • 1975 Coil winding in the 70’s
    • 1981 In 1981 it was converted to a Private Limited Company.
    • 1983 Rectifier made in the early 80’s
    • 1983 Certification by Germanisher Lloyd’s for Transformers
    • 1983 Certification from Lloyd’s Register of Shipping
    • 1986 Certificate from Bureau Veritas
    • 1989 Certification from American Bureau of Shipping of CP monitoring panel
    • 1990 Certificate from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai for Transformers
    • 1996 With the acquisition of our present location in 1996, our total operational working area is about six thousand square feet.
    • 1997 In 1997, we obtained the ISO9002 quality system.
    • 1998 In 1998, was upgraded to the ISO9001quality system
    • 1999 ABS Inspection certification of Transformers
    • 2000 Lloyd’s Register of Shiping certification of Transformers
    • 2002 Quality system was upgraded to the year 2000 Standard
    • 2002 ABS certification of Battery Chargers
    • 2006 Certified by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for Transformers
    • 2008 Company staff
    • 2009 Converted to design, development and manufacturing of Transformers and Rectifiers.
    • 2009 Certification by Bureau Veritas for Explosion proof oil rectifier
    • 2012 Certification by Germanisher Lloyd’s for Battery Chargers
    • 2013 Approval from China Classification Society for Charging Units
    • 2013 Sponsorship of training rectifiers to Petronas
    • 2014 Obtain BizSAFE from Work Safety Health Council (WSHC)
